Description

Taskmaster is looking for a Facilities Supervisor to work for our NHS Client in Wakefield.

Location: Wakefield

Department: Facilities

Hours of work:Any hours between 6am till 10pm (5 days over 7), with the occasion night work

Pay rate

Basic: £8.70ph

Night (after 8pm) / Saturday: £11.92ph

Bank holiday / Sunday: £15.14ph

Duration:12 months

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Delivering the Service - Required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as and when they arise. This will require effective liaison with other staff groups, particularly nursing and actively seek constructive feedback on service provision. The Supervisor's role covers a range of services within facilities (housekeeping and cleaning)

  2. To train, monitor and supervise facilities staff

  3. Supervisors are required to work with staff teams and to carry out domestic, Housekeeping and portering duties to cover the needs of the service.

  4. To inform Team Leaders of the ordering requirements to maintain sufficient stock levels to deliver the service.

  5. Undertake initial investigation and reporting of untoward incidents and accidents.

  6. Completion and returning of Absence Monitoring forms.

  7. Will be required to take responsibility for ensuring that return to work interviews are completed in a timely manner and that the Team Leaders are informed when the an employee reaches the next stage of the Trust Management of Sickness and Absence Policy.

  8. Arranging delivery of completed timesheets/timecards to payroll.

Staffing

  1. Ensuring rotas are covered at times of sickness and annual leave

  2. On a daily basis the Supervisor will grant annual leave requests and provide cover

  3. Consulting with Team Leaders on Operational requirements where the decision to grant leave may not be simple

Allocation of staff

  1. Preparation of work schedules as required for authorisation by the Team Leader.

  2. Maintaining accurate records of staff attendance to process staff wages.

  3. Entering sickness information daily

  4. Line Management of sickness in accordance with Company Policy

  5. Staff Performance - Supervisors must support the appraisal process

  6. Completing incident record form documentation.
