First Room2 Hometel Concept is Going to be the Centrepiece of the Fulham Restoration

Room2's premium "hometel" concept has now been agreed to a 30-year lease. Fulham Town Hall by Room2 is going to have 90 rooms and it's going to be a mixture of event and also co-working spaces. It's going to be helpful for canteen staff, and it may even open up even more dish-washing jobs as well. There are going to be food and beverage offerings as well, which could appeal to those who are seeking university jobs or care jobs in the hospitality industry. The area is going to open up in the year 2022 and the rooms are going to be Grade II listed as well. The construction is going to commence in May but this does all depend on the planning permission and whether the documents required go through properly.

Town Hall Interior

A lot of people have stated that the venue is going to be influenced by a sustainable building design. Most of the rooms are going to come with a kitchenette and the guests will also be able to choose their own mattress if they want. The best thing about the whole process is that guests can check-in via mobile and they can also customise their stay. Of course, it's important to know that the residency is going to be available from one night up to one year, so there's a lot of flexibility to be had here. The Fulham Town Hall was made out of Portland Stone in a very classical style. This was done between the year 1888 and 1890. It was then extended in 1904 and 1905. The building was then acquired by a company known as Ziser in the year 2019.

The idea of hometels come from Robert and Stuart Godwin. They are brothers and they were also former members of the British Olympic Development Team. They believe that this is going to contain all of the best elements from AirBNB, while also appealing to those who are seeking commercial or residential accommodation.
