TaskMaster Relaunches South Yorkshire Driving Division to 'Keep Yorkshire Moving' Following Strategic Acquisition of RE Recruitment

Taskmaster has announced the relaunch of its South Yorkshire Driving Division in Doncaster as part of its new ‘Keep Yorkshire Moving’ campaign; a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the region’s logistics workforce, support businesses under increased operational pressure, and reinforce Taskmaster’s position as one of the fastest-growing recruitment forces in the UK.

This relaunch follows Taskmaster’s recent acquisition of RE Recruitment, a major move that marks a significant shift in scale and ambition. The acquisition brings together two established workforce providers, combining Taskmaster’s network with RE Recruitment’s specialist expertise and strong market legacy. Together, the businesses are aligning under a clear strategy: to build one of the most influential, community-rooted, and industry-leading workforce groups in the UK.

The decision to relaunch the South Yorkshire Driving Division comes at a critical moment for the logistics industry. Transport firms across the UK continue to navigate driver shortages, increased compliance demands, rising costs and shifting workforce expectations. According to Greg Morris, the newly appointed Branch Manager of the Doncaster division, the current challenges are real, but so are the opportunities.

“This industry doesn’t need another recruitment agency promising quick fixes,” said Greg Morris. “It needs partners who understand the pressures hauliers are under, who can attract and retain reliable drivers, and who can help businesses plan ahead, not just fill shifts. The South Yorkshire market is sophisticated. People know when you’re serious and when you’re not. This relaunch is about proving that Taskmaster is serious about being here for the long term.”

Greg brings years of experience in logistics and workforce management and has seen first-hand how the driver landscape has shifted. He commented,

We’ve got businesses trying to maintain service levels with tightening margins. We’ve got experienced drivers leaving the industry because they don’t feel valued. And we’ve got newly qualified drivers who are told they need experience but aren’t given the chance to get it. That’s the reality. But with the right systems, the right support and the right partnerships, we can do more than just react to it, we can change it.”

The Keep Yorkshire Moving campaign represents this belief in action. It will focus on building a sustainable driver pipeline, opening pathways for both experienced and new-pass drivers, and offering local employers a more consistent, strategic workforce solution. At the heart of the campaign is also a commitment to the community. Taskmaster will partner with a local homelessness charity in Doncaster to support fundraising activities and provide essential aid to those most affected by economic hardship.

Greg added,

“Driving keeps Yorkshire running; from supermarkets to hospitals, manufacturing sites to schools. But if the people behind the wheel, and the communities they live in, aren’t supported, everything slows down. We’re here to make sure that doesn’t happen.”

The official relaunch event will take place on 19th November 2025, bringing together local employers, drivers, stakeholders and community organisations to mark the next chapter of Taskmaster’s investment in South Yorkshire.

This announcement signals the start of a broader national strategy. Following the acquisition of RE Recruitment, Taskmaster is expanding its infrastructure, technology and specialist sectors with the aim of becoming one of the UK’s most reliable and influential workforce partners. The Doncaster relaunch is the first of several regional developments set to roll out over the next 12 months.
