Company:
TaskMaster Resources Ltd (“TaskMaster”) is a workforce solutions business with nearly three
decades of experience. We provide flexible, temporary and permanent recruitment across a

The core mission is to manage the individual branch managers in order that they maximize fee income, foster a high-performance culture and are 100% compliant with the company operating manual. This role bridges the gap between high-level company strategy and localized branch execution. You will effectively “run the branches” and remove that responsibility from the MD (who is currently performing that role).
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-Branch Performance & Leadership
- Drive Regional Performance: Oversee Branch Managers to ensure all locations meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual gross profit targets and billing KPIs.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide strategic direction, coaching, and leadership to Branch Managers, helping them scale their local teams.
- Talent Retention & Attraction: Work closely with internal HR to hire top-tier recruitment consultants, manage succession planning, remove under performing consultants and maintain healthy consultant retention rates.
- Business development: Measure sales activity by the branch managers and provide BD training to ensure that the branches have a healthy pipeline of new customers (to replace attritioned customers). Work closely with the MD and Ops Director – Managed Service to identify and pitch for larger volume clients.
- Strategic Planning & Financial Control
- P&L Ownership: Manage the operational budget and hold full P&L accountability for all branch locations.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with the board to identify new market sectors, plan geographical expansions, and execute new branch openings
- Resource Allocation: Optimize the distribution of corporate resources, CRM tools, job board budgets, and marketing spend across branches.
- Compliance, Risk, & Quality Assurance
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all branches comply strictly with the company operations manual, including employment laws, data protection acts, HMRC requirements and the Fair Work Agency charter.
- Contract Management: Oversee operational risk and approve terms of business for high-value client contracts and ensure compliance with Neutral Vendors/MSP requirements
- Cash collection: accountable for customers paying on time, including ensuring invoices are raised on time (and in line with client requirements), client queries are responded to in a timely manner and assisting credit control in chasing non-payments.
Skills & Experience:
- Recruitment Industry Expertise: Proven track record of senior operational management specifically within a fast-paced recruitment agency environment.
- Multi-Site Management: Demonstrated experience successfully managing and scaling multiple physical branches or distinct regional teams.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of recruitment financials, including P&L management, margin structures (temp, perm, and contract), and financial modeling.
- Change Management: Experienced in driving cultural alignment, rolling out new technologies, and restructuring operational workflows.
- Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional ability to influence board-level executives while maintaining rapport with frontline billing managers and consultants.
Personal Attributes:
• Hard working and willing to travel extensively.
• Adaptable and resilient; able to thrive in a busy, multi-site recruitment business.
• Demonstrates consistent and repeatable behaviours
• Likeable and credible personality to help influence and improve others.
