TM Resourcing Technical and Engineering (Part of the Taskmaster Recruitment Group) are looking to recuit a Skilled Engineering Shift Supervisor

Engineering Shift Supervisor/ Shift Supervisor / Team leader (Manufacturing)

Based in Birmingham

You should have a desire to succeed and develop as the Company moves forward.

The role requires exceptional time management, due to a fast moving and demanding work environment.

Good supervisory and management skills are an essential requirement for this role along with a competent level of computer skills.

Responsibilities includes -

  • Ensuring health & safety and environmental requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Dealing with first line disciplinary procedures and outcomes.
  • Ensuring that each process within the manufacturing of our products is carried out to a high quality standard.
  • Monitoring employee performance, including appraisals, productivity, time keeping etc.
  • Ensuring departmental and company targets are met. Including, customer satisfaction, delivery performance, productivity,
  • Environment, quality and safety targets.
  • Prioritising jobs and workloads and managing manning levels at each stage of manufacture.
  • Working together with other departments to ensure quickly resolve issues or queries.
  • Competency assessment and training of employees of workers under your management, including new and existing employees.
  • Interviewing potential shop floor employees, Ensuring machinery is maintained and repairs are carried out quickly and efficiently.
  • Working within a production team during daytime hours Monday to Friday. But having full responsibility for the whole site during night
  • shifts and weekends when on shift. Good communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate will all levels from shop floor personnel to Directors.
  • Computer literacy is a large part of the daily work routine. Use of both Microsoft Office, as well as in-house programmes will be needed to maintain effective and efficient production.
  • This role would be ideal for those with ambition to succeed and further their career prospects to managerial level. It would advantageous if the candidate possessed a good basic education, with technical experience, particularly in manufacturing.
  • The position requires the successful candidate to work 42 hours per week in a continental shift pattern covering 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Profile

  • Manufacturing/Experience Background
  • 5 Years Supervision or as a Senior Team leader
  • Educational Level - HNC/HND preferable
  • Team leading with Appraisals would be beneficial
  • Communication skills/ Presentation skills
  • Experience of giving tool box talks would be great
  • Supervisor experience/Team Leader Experience is a must
  • Management would be a bonus
  • Professionalism is a must

Working 42 hours a week (Continental Shift pattern , 4 on 4 off) over 7 days

Salary £25,000 - £28,000 Plus + 25% Shift Premium = Total Salary £31,250 - £35,000 DOE
