- Description
TaskMaster are working in partnership[ with a large and reputable Engineering business in the heart of Doncaster. Due to periods of continued growth they are now looking to add a HSE Office to their existing team on a full time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
Assists and advises the Managing Director or Delegate in all matters pertaining to the health, the safety and the security of personnel, the safeguarding of equipment and the preservation of the environment.
Advises on HSE legislation when required.
Liaises with Company on HSE matters and chairs the HSE meetings as required.
Prepares and maintains specific HSE documents as per Company requirements.
Informs relevant personnel of their content in a timely manner and verify implementation.
Owner and responsible for the HSE-Mangement system and implementation
Ensures that appropriate Emergency Response arrangements are in place for the site.
Co-ordinates & monitors execution of the risk assessment process and ensure they are adhered too
Carries out regular visits at workplace locations on HSE activities needs.
Follows-up the investigations and monitors the recommendations close-out. Prepares periodic analysis of accidents / incidents on the Project.
Maintains and analyses Monthly HSE statistics.
Issues monthly HSE reports.
Co-ordinates Company HSE training requirements and delivers all HSE Induction to staff and visitors.
Suggests improvements to the HSE procedures, guidelines and tools to enhance performance in HSE.
Ensures Lessons Learnt are identified and delivered as an HSE strategy.
Keeps abreast of all changes in H & S environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS
Holding HSE Certificate or diploma
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in HSE
Experience of production and implementation of HSE key processes at the worksites
Developing HSE procedures and documents in accordance with regulations and specifications
Proactive approach to managing HSE
Carrying out audits and investigations and producing the subsequent reports
Preparing , reviewing and implementing risk management
Chairing HSE meetings
Good command English languages, both oral and written
PC Literate
Monitoring and delivering company training
Employee, contractor and customer engagement
Good interpersonal skills of communication, ability to negotiate, to share and promote ideas, to lead training/awareness sessions
Creative, autonomous, flexible and adaptable
Responsible to H & S Executive as stakeholder.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical environment : office and worksite locations,
Standard working hours + 1/2 day Saturday:
Exposure to all hazards on the worksite.
