Description

I am currently recruiting for a leading FMCG company based near Birmingham!

Duties:

  • Manage supply and inventory of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials and Finished Goods
  • Manage stock holding to agreed value and weeks cover
  • Manage shelf life of warehouse stock
  • Develop statistical forecasting models to ensure best in class supply for all Grenade® products. Excel based model until our ERP product is launched (Microsoft Dynamics NAV)
  • Global demand planning, including UK and US entities of Grenade
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance & Operations to ensure customer and financial knowledge is reflected in the forecasts and feedback is provided on the demand planning function
  • Gather, analyse and validate all data used in statistical forecasts in close conjunction with the Sales and Finance teams, report back on status of demand planning
  • Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting through highlighting any unexpected trends related to seasonality/rapid growth/addition of new customers
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for the forecasting processes
  • Ensure all documentation for the forecasting processes and systems is up-to-date and complies with company standards
  • Develop repository of information that can be used to support future forecasting and risk analysis
  • Provide data on forecast accuracy and develop safety stock and inventory planning parameters / inventory strategies on existing items/new products/product phase-outs
  • Support the wider Supply Chain team in all initiatives and activities

The Successful Applicant

  • Highly educated individual with strong career goals
  • Intelligent and enthusiastic individual who is looking for a varied and interesting role in Supply Chain
  • Min three year's experience in Demand Planning using ERP/MRP, preferably from a food/nutrition environment
  • Advanced level Excel skills capable of complex data analysis, including V lookup, Pivot tables etc
  • Willingness to travel (occasionally) and develop relationships with manufacturing partners
  • Language skills are not essential, but are an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to finish tasks in a timely way
  • Desire to work as part of a team delivering significant year on year improvements
