Description

Taskmaster are working with a leader in their sector. who are continuing to expand at a rapid pace. We now have a rare opening in their award-winning business for a talented individual with a flair for web development technologies to fulfil the role of a Full Time, Permanent Full Stack PHP Developer.

We are looking for someone with exceptional knowledge and recognised skills in their core technologies that can execute great work who would relish the challenge of becoming a key team member of their growing in-house development team.

It is a very exciting time to join as they are building complex and inventive solutions to complex business, industry and regulatory requirements through web-based technologies. Their focus is to produce high quality, working and tested code which not only keeps them productive but also helps the business to succeed.

Their current technology stack is PHP, Nginx, Memcached, jQuery, MySQL. All running on a virtualised cluster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain and improve existing PHP applications
  • Write efficient, lean, scalable and beautiful code
  • Build user-friendly interfaces that are easy to navigate
  • Visualise and design suitable database schemas
  • Assists in project planning
  • Resole bugs, errors and performance issues on existing systems
  • Keep up to date with web technologies and design trends

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working on business management systems
  • Extensive knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX
  • Experience using popular MVC frameworks
  • Understanding of git version control
  • Knowledge of performance boosting techniques such as minification, caching, compressions and SQL query optimisation
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable skills (but not essential):

  • Linux server management
  • Experience with unit tests
  • DevOps

Pay rate per annum: £25,000 - £50,000
