Robotics Applications Engineer

Taskmaster are working in collaboration with a leading producer and supplier of proccess equipment. Due to an ever increasing order book and loyal customer base they are now looking to add a FULL TIME, PERMANENT, Robotics Applications Engineer to their existing team.

Position Overview:

We are looking to recruit a commercially astute Robotics Applications Engineer to be based within their facility in Doncaster. Primarily the role is to generate turn key project and equipment integration proposals for the food, beverage and container manufacturing sector. Part of the role will be to support their Sales Executives and Project Managers during customer visits within Europe/Middle East/Africa. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel when necessary, this will be kept to a minimum but visits to site will enhance your ability to learn their product line much faster.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities are representative and may be expanded.

• Generates budgetary and final bid written proposals that would include supporting sales layouts
• Hold proposal reviews to understand and document the full scope and expectation of the application.
• Communicate technically and commercially both with internal departments and with external equipment suppliers.
• Prepare cost analysis for the application encompassing the application needs, integrating new machinery and equipment into the proposed project.
• Applying costing and design strategies in order to position the company in the early stages of project development to increase the probability of success.
• Develops and reviews internal and external specifications & performance criteria for equipment to ensure they are aligned with the customers' expectations.
• Ensures that the completed proposal is technically & commercially suitable for the application being quoted.
• Assisting Region Sales Executives with sales calls, kick-off meetings and taking calls from customers when perhaps Sales are not available.
• Generate if required 'Power Point' presentations to support the applications and quotation if required and attend and present to the customer if required.
• Providing Applications Engineering support and maintaining a working knowledge of all active projects within the company.
• Robots (Kuka, Fanuc etc)
