TM Resourcing's Technical Division are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Company for Manufacturing Technicians based in Scarborough.
Overall Purpose
As Manufacturing Technician you are responsible and accountable for coordinating, organizing and monitoring the implementation of plans to effectively operate Line(s) performance in your area.
Through effective leadership ensure your team meet the day to day operational tasks and activities required, the role will ensure production targets and operational standards are met.
About the candidate
Must have engineering qualifications - mechanical and electrical or both.
We will consider applicants outside of Food Manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Understand and operate equipment for the area as per Standard Work Methods and Best Operating Practice.
- Ensure all consumables for the area are appropriate and available within work area
- 3Continually monitor and carry out tests to determine if area quality is being achieved, taking corrective action when appropriate and informing all applicable parties. Escalate to AOL if unable to resolve. Input traceability production run data into computer system
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks and improvement work with designated area.
- Complete designated tasks safely, efficiently and effectively and to the required standard of quality and consider all implications when carrying out designated tasks to minimise downtime, materials and rework
- Lead & Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Root Cause Analysis activities to identify and act on corrective actions to prevent repeat failures
- Conduct and record effective investigation/close out of non-conformance issues - H&S incidents/colleague investigations/customer complaints and Quality and Food Safety issues
- Be observant at all times when in the plant and report any deficiencies that cannot be rectified by you to your Area Operations Leader and Area Operations Engineer.
- Take responsibility for leading specific area continuous improvement groups.
- Work in liaison with your Line Manager and other departments as required, providing support and assistance where possible to ensure the smooth execution of both day-to-day maintenance tasks and shutdown work
- Enter accurate, detailed feedback on all completed tasks into SAP on a daily basis.
- Ensure effective, timely and accurate Management Information is provided as required.
- Ensure the upkeep and reliability of all plant and equipment in your designated area by feeding back requirements to the Area Operations Engineer
- Ensure that the area is maintained to 5S, Health & Safety and Hygiene standards at all times
The role:
- Based in Scarborough (a relocation package is available)
- Hours worked 42 per week on a shift system - 2 days, 1 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 12 hour shifts - no shift allowance but overtime is paid.
- Overtime up to a maximum of 60 working hours per week is sometimes available although not guaranteed.
- Pension - Employee pays 3, 4,5 or 6% and this is matched by my client (e.g. employee contributes 6%, my client pays 12% = Total 18%. Employee can contribute more, but my client only pay max 12%)
