We now have the pleasure of representing a small, independent machining organisation who are looking to replace a long serving member of staff who will be retiring in the near future.

Our client is a small, independent machine shop with a head count under 15. The company has been established for over 40 years, during this time they have managed to develop and nurture a loyal customer base working across a number of sectors.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Turner who is capable of working off their own initiative within a small team. This position will involve programming, setting and operating 2 Harrison Alpha CNC lathes to produce small batch components for various markets, including Aerospace, Extrusion and Press Tools.

Ideal Candidate:

• Apprentice trained/Time served or equivalently qualified (HNC, City & Guilds, NVQ etc.)

• Previous experience programming CNC lathes (any control)

• Manual Turning experience

• Comfortable working directly from technical drawings

• Capable of checking the quality of own work using various hand tools

• Able to work with minimal supervision and from own imitative

Position Details:

• Basic Salary: Negotiable - depending on experience and ability

• Working Hours: Permanent Day Shifts (39 hours per week)

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30AM to 4PM

  • Friday: 7:30AM to 3PM

• Overtime: Regularly available - paid at 1.5

• Permanent Position
