TM Resourcing (Technical & Engineering) are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement & Commissioning Engineer for a well-established company within the Wakefield area.
This role is to lead on the development and implementation of detailed commissioning plans for new manufacturing plant and to identify, prioritise, and lead the development and implementation of plans for the improvement of existing manufacturing facilities.
Job Purpose
To work closely with the site manufacturing and maintenance teams to, safely, & cost effectively, manage the delivery of new projects through the commissioning phase to handover to operations.
To work closely with the site manufacturing and maintenance teams to deliver safe, cost effective, production improvements to enhance our manufacturing capability and improve plant reliability and performance.
Key Objectives
To deliver commissioning plans agreed with the engineering project manager on time and on budget. To deliver plant improvements agreed with manufacturing and the site management team achieving annual budget reductions
Key Requirements of Jobholder
Degree or equivalent in either chemical/process engineering, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
Must be a strong "people person" and team worker.
Preferably a chartered engineer in appropriate discipline or working towards this.
Around 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, a minimum of 3 years in a continuous improvement or commissioning role. (evidence of application of "lean" manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques essential)
Ability to quickly troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
Ability to work at and effectively communicate with all levels in an organisation.
Strong Oral and Written communication skills.
Competent with standard technical and business software, including both CAD and CMMS systems.
Must be willing to work outside of "normal" working hours should the job require it.
