Description

Job Role Overview:

You will work on a broad range of commercial property transactions including, for example, acquisitions and disposals, commercial landlord and tenant work, development and option agreements, business sales and purchases and refinancing. This will involve regularly interacting with clients and building strong business relationships.

You will work primarily unsupervised although support will be available from the team's legal assistants.

You will also be required to assist the commercial property team with their innovative plans for growth and development. As the team grows, you may be expected to lead a small team within the department and take responsibility for that team's workload and progression.

Candidate Requirements:

You must be an experienced commercial property solicitor / legal executive, well versed in running a wide-ranging and varied case load.

Have proven experience of acting on behalf of clients in relation to a wide range of commercial property transactions

Have excellent technical and communication skills

Be a good listener who can quickly identify a client's requirements

Be able to engage with clients and adopt a personal approach

Have a proven ability to think commercially (balancing rules, regulations, risks, client interests and revenues)

Be able to consider the bigger picture and not just focus on the issue at hand

Be self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure

Be a flexible and reliable team player who is willing to turn their hand to whatever is required of them

Play a key role in business development and networking opportunities

Be creative, imaginative and open-minded in respect of the planned growth and development of the department and firm.
