We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced chef to join our client on a permanent basis. Based in beautiful surroundings within West Yorkshire our client is a provider of conferencing and events facilities but also residential services. The role of chef is a varied one and would include catering for everyday residential needs through to formal dinners and buffets for functions such as weddings and christenings.

Joining a small but established team your overall responsibility will be to ensure the effective running of the kitchen ensuring high quality food is delivered. An experienced chef you will be confident in your abilities and key duties will include preparation and cooking of food, stock management and rotation, menu planning, adhering to food hygiene standards, maintaining cleanliness and safety of work area, catering for and been aware of dietary requirements and allergens and ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly team and work in a unique environment with sociable hours. My client is offering 24 hours per week but is flexible as to how that is delivered, ie. 3 x 8 hour shifts or 4 x 6 hour shifts. The role will involve regular weekends but shifts wont run any later than 8 pm so offers great work/life balance.
