NHS Housekeeper - Part Time - Bradford
We are looking for part time Housekeepers to join our bank staff team for one of our NHS clients in Bradford.
Start Date: ASAP
Hours of work: Monday to Sunday
Shift Pattern: 07:30 - 17:30/18:00 or 09:00 - 17:30/18:00 or 08:30-13:30 or 09:00 - 14:00
Rate of pay:
Basic rate: £7.90ph (increase to £8.95ph after completion of 12 weeks)
Saturday rate: £11.38 - £11.85ph
Sunday rate: £14.85 - £15.80ph.
Duration: On-Going
JOB SUMMARY: Ward Housekeeper
To provide an efficient and comprehensive housekeeping service to all patients, visitors and staff while contributing to enhancement of patient care.
The Housekeeping service plays a vital role and is included as part of the ward/department team to ensure that a pleasant, safe, welcoming and clean environment is provided to patients, visitors and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Damp dusting of furniture, fixtures and fittings.
- Floor maintenance (mopping, polishing, scrubbing).
- Vacuum cleaning and carpet water extraction cleaning.
- Cleaning of sanitary areas.
- Bed making in residences.
- Provide a comprehensive Housekeeping service to the ward environment ensuring consistent quality, efficiency and effectiveness of this service.
- Play a key role in assisting in the prevention and control of Healthcare Associated Infection.
- Maintain a welcoming and tidy environment for patients, staff and visitors.
- To ensure economical and safe use of supplies and equipment.
- Provide food service of light snacks and beverages.
- Prepare and distribute hot and cold drinks to patients, as required.
- To refresh and distribute water jugs to patients, as required.
