ChromeOS Software Developer (Contract) - Remote
Hourly rate - negotiable
My client is an international leader within the Education and Corporate technology markets. They are looking for a ChromeOS Software Developer to join their expanding development team working on enhancements to their award winning software. The role is primarily focused on developing their range of education solutions for schools
Essential:
- Experience writing ChromeOS extensions and/or applications
- Development experience of JavaScript
- Modular design using AMD/UMD and RequireJS
- Asynchronous programming
- Promises
- HTML 5 and CSS 3
- Experience of Javascript frameworks
- Chrome Extension API
- Chrome Application API
Highly Desirable:
- WebRTC Architecture (PeerConnections, DataChannels, MCU)
- MediaStream API
- HTML5 Canvas
- HTML5 Video
- WebSockets
Preferable:
- Understanding of Google Cast Application Framework (CAF)
- Understanding of Source Control systems (eg Git / SVN)
- Responsive web design
- Build systems such as Jenkins
- ESLint
Knowledge of WebAssembly (useful but not essential
