Job Title: Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Location: Low Prudhoe, Newcastle
Salary: Dependant on experience
Overtime available
TM Resourcing are working with a company based near Newcastle that provide a wide variety of Products and Services to the NDT Industry and are looking for a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join their small team. The role will involve travel to UK clients and overnight stays as and when required. Additional hours will be required to fulfil customer orders on occasion.
You will be required to assemble and service complex mechanical and electrical assemblies and ancillary equipment to required specification. To organise and motivate team ensuring maximum productivity, high quality, effective working, discipline and high morale.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and service complex mechanical and electrical assemblies using all necessary fitting disciplines.
Lead and motivate the Technicians to deliver the best possible products and services.
Ensure that all production deliveries are met within the Production Program.
Maintain cost effective utilization and efficiency of labour.
Where appropriate maintain stock levels and monitor product quality to meet production needs.
Highlight potential problems of supply that could affect deliveries.
Feedback information to the Operations Director in the interests of value engineering and quality.
Assist with recruitment
Ensure that all assemblies are constructed to the correct technical specification.
Carry out all necessary testing and calibration to meet all relevant standards.
Satisfy internal quality standards and procedures as laid down by the QMS.
Ensure that housekeeping within relevant areas is to a level practical to maintain a satisfactory turn round of work, and does not impact upon the requirements of Health and Safety
Adhere to and assist in the implementation of current and future working procedures and practices.
Be available for additional hours and overnight stays during offsite service work as and when required.
Carry out any duties requested by the Operations Director that are within your capabilities.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified within an electrical or mechanical discipline and have in depth knowledge of electro-mechanical engineering activities.
Have experience with non-destructive testing.
Experience within a management or supervisory role.
Full UK Driving license.
Will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Will be experienced within LEAN working techniques and will be confident with training others.
