C £65,000-70,000 + Excellent Benefits

You will be a founding member of a multi-disciplinary Data Centre of Excellence. You will get to shape and modernise our data capability as we move from traditional IT to Agile.

You will own the ETL/ELT roadmap; utilising cloud technologies, broadening our batch architecture to one that incorporates interaction patterns such as request/response, fire-and-forget, publish/subscribe. You will be responsible for modelling and surfacing the data that will influence the strategic direction of the organisation.

What skills/experience are we looking for?

You'll have excellent Microsoft stack skills (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure); who has experience working with multiple protocols (REST, SOAP, SFTP, etc); multiple data formats (XML, JSON, CSV etc.) and a good working knowledge of C# and PowerShell. As well as:

• Previous experience in a data engineer (or related) role
• Advanced experience designing, building and implementing solutions with the Microsoft Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure, T-SQL, SQL Server agent)
• Experience designing and implementing integration design patterns (Visualisation; messaging/streaming; replication/synchronisation; data virtualisation; batch)
• Experience creating business intelligence solutions with data warehousing (marts/cubes) principles; dimensional modelling; schema design and data modelling
• Excellent knowledge of scripting ETL components, stored procedures, functions, triggers etc
• Good knowledge of C#, .NET
• Solid experience delivering incremental value through Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies
