The successful applicant will ideally have experience in a similar role, a keen eye for detail and be adaptable in a fast moving, hectic environment. They need to be customer focused, driven and keen to progress their career.
The candidate must be hardworking and organised with a structured approach to assigned tasks whilst being able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Full product training will be provided.
Being part of a small, close-knit team, this self-motivated, patient and methodical individual will have excellent IT skills with a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially the use of Excel.
The role of the Internal Sales Assistant involves working with multiple retailers and importers Worldwide. This role is largely office based (hours are 7:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am - 3:00pm Friday) there will be a need for some occasional European travel supporting the Junior National Account Manager and Sales Director on customer/trade fair visits and to their factory in China. Experience of working with Chinese suppliers would be advantageous.
They prosper from home grown talent and therefore this role is perfect for someone that wants to progress overtime to National Account Manager level working closely with Worldwide retailers. Having a strong work ethic is paramount for this role as you will be required to give 110% to make sure the role is a success. A strong work ethic is more important than an academic degree.
The following is an introduction to the various responsibilities:
- Liaise daily with customers worldwide
- Liaise daily with their factories in China, this is a major part of the role to be able to communicate effectively across multiple countries
- Support Sales Team with quotations, market pricing, sales analysis
- Build a high level of technical product knowledge to support the sales team and further build credibility with our customers
- Keep records/Critical Path Analysis to ensure all new product launches are timely
- Be the record keeper for all samples in and out of the company
- Take minutes for customer meetings when required
- Help to build presentations/samples for customer meetings in our offices
- Support the sales team with new enquiries/tenders as necessary
- Monitor fluctuations in all major currencies
- Monitor fluctuations in all major raw materials
- Liaise with the Sales Team and the Quality Manager in relation to new product development and new customers
- Work with customers' sales forecasts, informing the customer and factories of all trends
- Build and maintain good business relationships with all customers and manufacturer contacts
- Be supportive & respectful to all work colleagues and assist as required to ensure that all customer needs and business requirements are met
Monitor UK and European DIY markets for all product trends and price fluctuations Willingness to contribute to time sensitive tasks outside office hours when required
