Email Marketing Executive - Bourne
We're looking for a talented and email-savvy individual to join our growing team as our Email Marketing Executive. Reporting to the Email Marketing Manager and Head of Commercial you will help manage the email marketing calendar, and assist with the set-up, testing and analysis of our Outdoor Leisure email campaigns. You will have direct influence on the email marketing calendar and development of the email channel.
You must be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to multi-task. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and priorities is essential.
You will be a highly organised individual, committed to quality work and attention to detail, and passionate about the huge impact that quality email marketing campaigns can have on a business.
What you'll be doing
- Work closely with sales, editorial and marketing teams to develop and deliver the monthly email schedule
- Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure copy is provided on time and campaigns run on time
- Prepare and build HTML-based emails using the email marketing software platform.
- Work closely with the Email Marketing Manager to manipulate data and target emails to customer segments
- Work with the Email Marketing Manager to improve the existing templates and develop new innovative ones
- Work closely with the Email Marketing Manager to continuously improve all email marketing KPI's including deliverability, opens, clicks & revenue
- Work closely with relevant internal departments to ensure the email marketing channels are working as efficiently as possible
- Support the Email Marketing Manager with ad hoc tasks as necessary
- Assist with Ad hoc email/CRM projects where needed
- Work with the ESP to ensure that email best practice is being followed
- Analytics and benchmarking - you will be responsible for tracking the success of email marketing activity and providing detailed email reports to the sale, marketing and editorial teams
- Stay abreast of competitor email activity. Compile competitor emails, highlighting promotions and examples of strong emails
About you
Essential skills & requirements:
- Experience using an ESP and CRM system
- Solid understanding of email technology platforms, web analytics, customer databases and segmentation opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of working in a fast-moving environment with competing deadlines and priorities
Desirable skills
- Basic HTML skills preferred
- Min 1 years' experience in an email role or with email as part of your role
- Experience using Photoshop or similar
