Plant Machine Operator (360 Excavator)
Edinburgh EH21
Pay rate to be discussed, subject to experience
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced plant machine operator to join our established and prestigious client based in Edinburgh (EH21)
The hours of work are: 6.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, possible overtime in week and Saturday morning due to business demands, flexibility is essential.
The role will include operating a mobile plant 360 excavator that is used for the primary role of recycling.
Main duties of the role:
- Following all site health and safety rules
- Safe and efficient operation of mobile plant (360 excavator)
- Loading plant hoppers
- Separating materials
- Loading trailers
- Carrying out daily checks in accordance with company procedures and site working plan
- Co-operating with site management
- Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures as required
- Working to timescales and deadlines
- General duties around the site such as picking, cleaning, etc.
- Other duties as and when required
In order to be successful at this position you must:
- Have worked within a plant / site environment before
- Recognised license or qualification to operate plant, NPORS, CITB, CPCS, EPIC, NVQ**
- Have experience operating plant machinery
- Be open minded to training on upgrading your experience
- Have the ability to work under own supervision and use initiative within the work place
**Those without an up to date ticket who possess skills and experience can be offered an internal training program and external NPORS qualifications.
Additional plant tickets such as telescopic handler and loading shovel would be desirable but not essential.
