Taskmaster are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a growing transport business on their busy site near Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Working hours would be Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm

Salary on offer is up to £24,000 depending on experience.

This is initially an 8 month FTC to cover maternity leave. However due to the growth of the business there is a real potential for a permanent position at the end of the contact (April).

The Role

As Transport Planner you will support the Transport department in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the day to day operation.

Other responsibilities include:

• Route plan for a fleet of 12 ensuring a cost efficient operation.
• Load planning and arranging back loads.
• Work to a high level of supplier and internal KPIs
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
• Ensure all Drivers are full briefed and de-briefed.
• Data Entry and system maintenance.
• Supporting with any Administrative task needed.

To apply for the role of Transport Planner you will need:

• At least 1 years Transport Planning experience
• Proven administrative, data entry and customer service experience
• Experience in a fast paced Transport operation
• CPC would be beneficial
• Be self-motivated and able to take intuitive to complete work independently
• Work to tight dead lines
• Have strong communication skills, with the ability to speak to people at all levels
