Taskmaster are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef to join a fantastic family run business based in Kibworth.

Working hours 5 days out of 7, various shifts, could include splits. Flexibility toward working hours is necessary.

The salary of offer is between £19,000 and £23,000 per annum depending on experience.

The Role

As Commis Chef you will ensure the highest standard of food preparation and service. All dishes are created from scratch, on site from fresh, local produce.

If successful, you will be working for a very popular local restaurant. This could be a brilliant career starter for the right candidate. There is a true team feel between the staff and exceptional food being produced.

Other responsibilities include:

• To prepare food to a consistently high quality in line with menu specifications.
• Present a welcoming impression to our guests by all staff.
• To liaise with suppliers and ensure delivery of commodities to specification agreed from a reputable and traceable source.
• To maintain a high level of customer care throughout the department.
• To ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean working condition.
• To maintain hygiene standards in areas of responsibility.
• To meet with guests to discuss requirements, if required and to be visible "front of house".

To apply for the roles of Chef de Partie or Junior CDP you will need:

• Previous Chef Experience or Chef qualification (at college level or higher)
• Experience of working of a fast paced kitchen.
• Previous experience of working with fresh produce. - butchery or fish monger experience would be beneficial
• Strong communication skill, verbal and written.
• Able to work well with an established, close team.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about food.
