- Description
We are seeking Ward Hostesses to undertake Domestic, Housekeeping & Linen Services and food service duties. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to join an organisation which has patient safety and care at the very heart of its working practices. Opportunities are available for full time and part time roles.
The aim of the roles is to provide a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors and to contribute to preventing and reducing the spread of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs).
As part of the role, you would be required to communicate effectively with patients, including patients who may have behavioural issues, challenging behaviour or severe communication difficulties, work colleagues and visitors throughout the process of delivery of the service and at all times respecting dignity and confidentiality.
You will:
· Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness, as defined within the National Specification of Cleanliness.
· Clean beds to the standards required by the organisation.
· Clean medical equipment not attached to patients.
· Assist in making beds
· Prepare and present meals and beverages in inpatient areas in accordance with Food Hygiene procedures.
· Compliance with policies and procedures
Hours of work will be:
Monday to Friday 4pm-8pm (20 hours)
Monday to Friday 4pm-10pm (30 hours)
Saturday & Sunday 10am-4:00pm (12 hours)
Saturday & Sunday 14:00pm to 22:00pm (15 hours).
Duration of all roles will be until the end of May 2020 initially with the view of extension.
