Our client is a highly successful privately owned hotel and conference booking company who are a major booking distribution channel for hotels and conference venues. Job Description
To build client conference & hotel booking/contract business to agreed volumes.
To do this by meeting targets laid out for business development.
Main responsibilities:
- To produce a database of possible contract clients
- To obtain contract agreements to target each month.
- To consistently enlarge/update the pool of possible clients via cold calls.
- Appropriate liaison with IT when help is required in developing new fields/ways of sorting data.
- The objective of the report is to get the team to understand the industry, and to feel part of the New Business division.
Personal Characteristics
Confidence, maturity, reliability. Enthusiasm, good commercial sense.
Some hotel knowledge useful. Excellent communication skills, strong track record in sales - both face to face and telephone sales.
Well organised.
Happy to work to targets.
Capable of delivering results.
