The School is not an ordinary boarding school, it is an exceptional one, and our Catering Department produces exceptional food to match. Our chefs don't serve up standard school dinners served buffet style, slowly wilting under heat lamps, they proudly serve up food created with care and attention from fresh produce, served family style to discerning but grateful customers. But it doesn't stop there. With events through the year from sporting fixtures to black tie dinners to cater for, the role is constant, busy, varied and very rewarding.
Working for a boarding school comes with its challenges - producing four meals a day 33 weeks of the year isn't easy - but it also comes with additional benefits. Our Chefs work 80 hours over a two-week rota, with every other weekend off. Some split shifts are required. Two roles are available, one to work 36.4 weeks per year (£19,716 per annum) and one to work 41.4 weeks per year (£22,429 per annum).
