Web Developer - Peterborough
The Role
If you're a talented, innovative and ambitious Web Developer looking to play a pivotal role in a rapidly growing team, then we have a brilliant opportunity for you to progress your career.
You'll be working on innovative new websites, operating in a dynamic and agile environment. We're looking for someone to support the entire lifecycle from concept, through to delivery and post-launch.
You'll be required to take responsibility for various testing activities with a primary objective to maintain the overall quality of your product.
Responsibilities
- Work with the product team to build new MVC websites, using Agile development methodology
- Collaborate with designers to implement frontend designs using HTML, SASS, JavaScript and Asp.Net, to deliver responsive sites that meet their precise specifications
- Develop and integrate Web APIs to support the frontend sites and automate business processes
- Extend service APIs, by replacing legacy services, and creating service gateways for integration into the legacy systems
- Set up test, UAT and live environments/continuous integration pipelines, for new sites using Azure, Azure Dev-Ops and IIS, including deployment tests to detect major issues as early as possible
- Maintain DNS records and SSL certificates for sites and services
- Work with advertising specialists to accurately track ad campaign traffic, using Google Tag Manager, and set up A/B tests using Google Optimise
- Research, implement and document new tools and technologies to improve workflow.

- Azure Dev-Ops for Continuous Integration and Delivery implementations and Source Control
- Cloud hosting centred around Microsoft Azure, including App Service, Logic Apps and Azure Functions
- Bootstrap for Responsive Design
- Gulp and Grunt for automating the build of SASS based CSS and Javascript assets
- Selenium and unit testing frameworks for automated testing
- In-house and third-party Web APIs and Services
- Microsoft and third-party frameworks including Entity Framework, Linq, Castle Windsor, etc…
Essential requirements
- A related degree, equivalent qualification or appropriate professional experience in a software development field
