- Description
- Our Client in the Wigan area are looking for a Research and Development Chemist to work in a fast paced chemical manufacturing environment.
Main duties include;
- Day to day batch manufacture required during the lab scale development of new products
- Undertake experimental work in accordance with manuals.
- Regularly and clearly record all process information.
- Prepare laboratory samples and prepare for dispatch
- Testing and evaluation of competitors products
- Plus many further responsibilities related to the above and complying with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management systems.
- Have a degree in a relevant subject
- Be able to follow chemistry testing techniques
- Hold IOSH award
- Have experience working in a busy lab environment
- Have experience working within a chemical industry (COMAH site)
- Be IT proficient particularly Microsoft Office
Salary is £18,000 - £20,475 DOE
