- Description
Experienced chef required on a 6-8 week contract starting ASAP, with the potential opportunity of an ongoing or permanent placement. Our client are looking for a chef to join their established team to help build business and service; offering a variety of facilities such as: residential, conferencing, meetings and bed and breakfast, you will be tasked to cater for all requirements.
Without a set menu you will be able to bring your own knowledge and experience into the kitchen to offer suggestions and create menu to suit the event and customer needs; an excellent opportunity to challenge and develop your existing skills.
Essential for the role:
- Excellent knowledge of dietary requirements
- Excellent knowledge of food
- Experience in contract catering
- Ability to menu plan
- Ability to cook from fresh
- Baking skills required
- Stock management/rotation
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Flexibility to shift pattern/rota (5 over 7 rota, shifts 6:30am-2:30pm/12pm-8pm)
- Ability to run a service
- A love of the food industry and passion for excellent service
- NVQ 1&2
- Level 2 Food Safety
- Food Allergen
