Taskmaster Resources are looking for an experienced Mechanical Operative to work for our client based in Peterborough
Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday – Thursday: 7.30am – 4.30pm. Fridays: 7.30am – 2pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
Salary: £12.00ph
Responsibilities:
The servicing, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment.
To ensure all equipment and plant are safe and operable to production requirements at all times.
To maintain a consistent level of stock parts and tools to ensure the production operation can perform to required level with minimal disruption.
The installation, build and testing of products and equipment.
To assist the production team when required.
Purpose:
To ensure all equipment and plant is running to the optimal maximum level, ensuring production is at full efficiency at all times. To be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of all equipment and plant ensuring minimal disruption to production. To install, build and test new products and equipment. To ensure the health and safety legislative requirements are followed at all times and instructions and procedures for the servicing, maintenance and repair of all equipment and plant are followed at all times.
Duties:
Repair of equipment and plant due to breakdown or fault
Maintenance of equipment and plant
Servicing of equipment and plant.
Monitoring stock of parts and tools.
Skills:
Working knowledge of mechanical systems.
Some basic electrical knowledge to contractor level would be advantageous.
Counterbalance forklift licence would be an advantage.
A knowledge of and competent with the use of hand tools.
Ability to solve problems and offer solutions.
