A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work with our new client based in the Peeblesshire area as a General Operative, working with Poultry.

Successful candidates would be working with one of the biggest employers in the area. They have 5 different locations and your own transport would be preferred due to the locations.

Job Summary

Monitor and maintain all aspects of free range egg production in ways that consistently meet organisational requirements.

Working as a General Operative, your duties would include and are not limited to:

• Monitor and maintain the welfare, health and general wellbeing of the birds in accordance with company requirements
• Collate, code and pack eggs in ways that meet health and safety standards
• Check the productivity and development of the birds at regular intervals
• Identify factors affecting performance and monitor behaviours of the birds and rectify any findings
• Maintain a clean and healthy safe place to work
• Maintain equipment and report any defects
