Training Coordinator - Located in Spalding

Purpose of the role:
Create, organise and manage training and development, to ensure that staff at all levels gain and develop the skills needed to carry out their jobs effectively.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
People: Providing ongoing support, direction and coaching to employees and managers. Identifying training needs within the company and devise training programmes to be delivered to all relevant individuals. Conducting new starter inductions and site tours for new starters, agency staff, visitors.
Training Plan: Establish and deliver an agreed training plan which reflects the analysed needs, business objectives and helps deliver the desired culture within the business.
Business Improvement: Understands the business issues, priorities and key drivers and ensures that training and development solutions are provided and actions are in place to drive continuous improvement. Understands relevant legislation and ensures the business complies.
Training Systems: Responsible for managing and developing a responsive business focused training system. Ensure all tasks and procedures have identified training requirements, training plans and systems are in place to deliver these, that clear standards of competence are set and assessed and that all training is recorded.
Financial: To effectively manage training expenditure and ensure that external training is cost effective.
Evaluation: To ensure that all training and development activities are evaluated to ensure they deliver benefit to the individual, department and business against pre-defined evaluation criteria and within agreed financial partners.
Measurement: To report on training and development Key Performance Indicators.
Training Delivery: Managing the delivery of training, across all areas within Operations. Consider a wide range of resources/ media for training delivery appropriate for the learner and desired outcomes (eg; internal/external, on-line, peer learning, video etc). Generate and agree all internal training materials and ensure they meet the business profile. Agree and manage all company sponsorship for professional qualifications.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Training Cost KPI - Company training expenditure (% of salaries and wages).
- Training Hours KPI - Average number of training hours per employee.
- Training Courses KPI - Number of courses offered; Number of courses implemented.
- Training Satisfaction KPI - Employee satisfaction with training.
- Training Budget KPI - % of HR budget spent on training; Average training costs per employee
- Training Results KPI.
- % of employees gone through training.
- Average time to competence. That is average time it takes until expected competence level is reached.
- % & employee reach competence after training.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified to a relevant degree standard or equivalent.
- Previous experience gained within a similar role preferably in FMCG environment.
- Excellent I.T. skills with Microsoft Office (Especially Excel).
- Good accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Drive, energy and enthusiasm.
- Pragmatic and hands on approach to the position.
