- Description
- To provide a high quality and efficient, customer orientated Security service working across both sites as necessary to meet the needs of the service. To take direction from the Security Manager / or their nominated Deputy at all times. Working under the supervision of the Security Manager but also working independently during shifts, exercising initiative on matters not prescribed within established policies and procedures. Attend immediately all calls for assistance involving.......Those in fear of physical harm, Scenes of actual or suspected crime where personal injury is involved, Crime in progress. To monitor CCTV systems and report any untoward incidents in accordance with agreed protocols, policies and procedures.
All incidents will be investigated, reported and logged. All crimes reported to, or discovered by the Security service will be investigated by them and/or the police service, depending on the circumstances. Respond to intruder alarms, inspect for signs of break – in, and liaise with the Police. Question and establish the identities of suspicious persons found unescorted in non public areas who are not displaying valid identity badges. Ensure that no unauthorised persons gain access to the premises. If they do, bring about eviction from the site as quickly and unobtrusively as possible. Receive reports of lost property and accept found personal property for safe keeping and maintain register of lost and found property. Take active steps to trace owners and restore their property. Process staff ID badges, PAC cards etc., and update details on the computer system following receipt of completed authorisation documentation and appropriate checks. Carry out physical security patrols both internal and external, to include car parking areas providing protection for buildings and properties Maintain a log of incidents; make written reports of incidents and crime using a note book system – Transfer entries onto Security service logging system – Immediately reporting a crime or serious incident.
- Experience
- Work experience dealing with the general public in customer orientated organisation in a position of trust. Highly developed communication skills both written and oral. Organisation and interpersonal skills. Capable of exercising influence and control. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
