Vac Former/Thermo Former (Team Leader/Setter)

Location: Birmingham

Shifts: Nights (4 x 12 hours) - overtime paid after 39 hours

Salary Bracket: £8.50-10 per hour (plus shift allowance of between £15-20 per shift)

TM Resourcing (Technical & Engineering) are currently recruiting a Vac/Thermo Former on behalf of their well-established engineering client in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure company Health, Safety & Environmental Policies are adhered to

• Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours

• Lead the production team, coach and motivate team members, ensuring individual and group productivity

• Ensure labour is effectively used and direct reports are achieving optimum performance

• Plan and deliver training/coaching and inductions for workforce in line with Standard Operating Procedures

• Ensure high quality standards in line with customer expectations and assist managers in continuous improvement

• Provide support for the workforce within your scope of authority and escalating to managers where appropriate

• Carry out team briefings and shift handovers to ensure a seamless changeover

• Responsible for addressing all people issues within your team (discipline, absence, conduct, performance) with support from your Line Manager and HR

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping.

Experience required:

• Be proficient and experienced at leading a team of people and driving performance improvement.

• have an eye for detail

• Be able to demonstrate a continuous improvement/problem solving mindset

• Be able to read and understand standard operating procedures and train operators to follow these

• Be a good communicator at various level

• Be willing to learn and embrace new ways of working, and embrace and ever changing production demands or requirements

• Be self-motivated
