Location: Peterborough
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15 am – 3:15 pm

Taskmaster Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Litter Picker to join a dedicated team working in and around the Peterborough area. This role plays a vital part in maintaining clean, safe, and pleasant outdoor environments for the community.

Role Overview:

As a Litter Picker, you will be responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of public spaces, parks, streets, and pathways. You will be expected to carry out a range of manual tasks including:

• Daily collection and disposal of litter and waste.
• Emptying public bins and replacing liners.
• Identifying and reporting issues such as fly-tipping or damaged public property.
• Supporting the general maintenance of the area as needed.
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.

This is a hands-on, physical role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements:

• Physically fit – capable of walking up to 3 kilometres per day and lifting light waste bags.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
• Comfortable working outdoors, regardless of weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.).
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential – full training will be provided.
