Production Engineer

Controls: Fanuc

Permanent, Full Time - DAY SHIFTS

TM Resourcing are delighted to be working alongside our manufacturing client to recruit an experienced Production Engineer to join the turning team.

Reporting to the Works Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for creating CNC programmes in accordance with customer drawings and supporting documentation and managing machining operations effectively and precisely.

Main Duties of the Role:

  • Programming using FANUC controls, Autodesk Feature CAM and various CNC machine tools

  • Producing turned components to tight tolerances and creating process documentation

  • Editing programmes using Cimco Edit software

  • Ensuring all programmes are available for each machine as per the production plan

  • Checking completed cycles by running simulations or tests to determine the most efficient cycle times

  • Monitoring machine performance

  • Liaising with engineering teams

  • Supporting the Works Manager

Suitable candidates must be able to:

  • Demonstrate a full understanding of FANUC controls, Autodesk Feature CAM, Cimco Edit editing system and Autodesk Fusion 360

  • Champion and drive improvements in a production environment

  • Program from engineering drawing to manufacture

  • Be approachable with the ability to build credible relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation, especially shop floor staff

  • Work to good time management and deadlines

  • Show enthusiasm, positivity and excellent written and verbal communication skills

This a full time role working day shifts - Monday to Thursday (8am to 4.30pm) and Friday (8am to 3.23pm) which equates to a 39 hour working week.
