- Night Shift Plant Operative – Days until mid-July
Taskmaster Recruitment are looking for a Night Shift Plant Operative to work for our client based at their site in Corby, this is ongoing work.
PLEASE NOTE: This position will start with the day shift (07:00 – 16:00) - £10.62 until all training completes mid July, once fully trained you will move onto the night shift (17:00 – 04:00) - £13.05.
Duties will include:
- Mobile or static plant operators will be required to operate the 360 Tracked Excavator, Forklift , loading shovel, baler, shredder etc.
- Sorting household and commercial waste from a pick line into plastic, wood, brick, metals.
- Use machinery to feed recycling waste for processing.
- Inspect materials for any contaminations.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Meet the requirements of audits and cleaning specifications.
- Ensure the correct protective equipment is correctly worn at all times.
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards of health and safety.
Desirable skills and attributes:
- All plant training is provided by the client. Training on other plant (Mobile and Static) will be available to the right candidates, e.g. Forklift, loading shovel, baler, shredder.
- Being physically fit for this role is essential.
- Able to use own initiative.
- Must be able to work with noise and dust.
- Organised and able to manage their own time effectively.
- Follow health and safety rules.
- Works harmoniously with others to get the job done.
PLEASE NOTE: This position will start with the day shift (07:00 – 16:00) - £10.62 until all training completes mid July, once fully trained you will move onto the night shift (17:00 – 04:00) - £13.05.
Shift: 17:00 – 04:00 Monday to Thursday, off on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Occasional overtime available on Saturday, this isn’t compulsory.
Pay rate: £13.05 per hour + up to £45pw bonus after a qualifying period.
