Service Technician (Equipment Mechanic)
Glasgow, G1

Taskmaster are working on behalf of our prestigious Engineering company founded in 2003 whom are recognised as leading suppliers and hirers of High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment (HPWJ) and Accessories throughout Scotland and the UK. The client is partnered with leading brands in the industry, these include Jetstream (USA based), StoneAge (USA HQ) and TST Sweden.
Through these partnerships, the client provides their own diesel and electric driven HPWJ equipment used at pressures up to 40,000 psi (2750 bar) and offer expertise in a range of applications. These includes; TAR Shutdown Scope, Marine Coating Removal and Concrete demolition to name a few. They are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join their exciting growing business.
The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for repair and servicing of High-Pressure Water Jetting equipment, both within our workshop and in the field. Whilst experience with High Pressure Water Jetting systems would be advantageous, full training will be provided.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Examine faulty equipment diagnose defects;
- Repair defective parts, obtain replacement parts or prepare new parts using hand and machine tools;
- Fit and assemble parts to rebuild plant or machinery;
- Test equipment for correct functioning and make necessary adjustments;
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
In order to be successful for this role you must have:
- Understanding of diesel engines and basic electrics.
- Knowledge of Positive Displacement Plunger Pumps is beneficial
- Ability to work away from home (up-to 1 month at a time offshore or overseas)
- Maintenance/Mechanical experience
- Flexible and willing to work overtime
- Towing experience
- Clean current driving licence
- Current passport
