TM Scotland are very excited to be recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in Glenrothes who are looking to add an experienced Stores Person to the team working Tuesday to Friday.
Our client is passionate about service and has proudly been one of the world market leaders for the last 40 years. Due to our clients continued growth we are urgently looking for an experienced Stores Person to add to the team.
Hours of work are 8am – 5pm Tuesday to Friday (34 hours a week)
What does a Stores Person within our client do?
- Physical receiving and shipping of goods in a safe and timely manner
- Ensuring that all incoming and out-going goods are logged in and out of the system -accurately and efficiently, and where discrepancies are identified, investigate and escalate to your supervisor
- Issue materials to production per daily stock requests / works orders, in an efficient and timely manner.
- Transact daily stock requests / Works orders accurately and in a timely manner onto Opera where required
- Drive Fork Lift Trucks where required
- Load and unload Lorries/Vans as may be required
- Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop-floor/work areas as required
- Timely resolution of stock/paperwork anomalies
- Meeting and reacting to any changes in customer demands, where reasonable
- Communicate situations which affect, or potentially affect the company's ability to achieve the manufacturing plan
- Assist in the solving of inventory management problems within the stores area.
- Respond to telephone calls to the stores, auctioning, escalating and prioritising accordingly.
- Timely Processing of customer orders/sales orders including pick/pack activity, goods issue, paperwork transactions and loading into transport
What do you need to be considered for the Stores Person position?
- A track record of over two years working within stores
- Preferably someone who has worked within a similar sector however not essential
- An employment reference within the last three years
- Good physical strength due to the manual lifting aspect of the job
- A valid Reach/counterbalance forklift certification (RTITB or equivalent) who be a massive benefit
- A high level of organisational, administrative, clerical skills, attention to detail, as well as excellent communication.
- Proficient in computer program (MS Word, Excel) and an ability to use scheduling software (Outlook, MS Teams).
- Strong time-management skills (be punctual, meet deadlines, readjust priorities when unforeseen issues arise).
