TM Scotland are very excited to be recruiting on behalf of a brand new client based in Newbridge to assist with sourcing a number of Vehicle Dismantlers to add to the team working Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm and every second Saturday 8am – 3pm.
Our client is a family run business that was founded in 1968. They have an abundance of growth plans over the next three years and are currently operating out of two yards due to the amount of vehicles they have.
Our client is now proudly one of the UKs leading automotive dismantlers and salvage companies and we are excited to be recruiting temp to perm contractors to add to the team.
What does a Vehicle Dismantler look like within our client?
- From a Maserati to a ford focus – You name the type of car and you will find it within our clients yard – Calling all Car Fanatics!!!
- Responsible to strip all vehicles for re-usable parts
- Cleaning the vehicles and identifying damages or faults
- Draining the cars for fuel
- If experienced you may be required to assist with wiring and hosing
What we require for the Vehicle Dismantler role?
- A car fanatic, passionate about vehicles and understand the buildup internally and externally
- Full UK Driving License
- Car mechanical background - Knowledge on all electrical / technical set up for box engines and gear boxes would be a massive advantage
- Hands on, manual experience with a good level of fitness due to some parts being heavier than others.
- The position does require you to have your own tools for working onsite – Impact gun, socket set, torques and general tools for car mechanical duties.
- A reference from a previous employer within a similar role
What we can offer you within our client?
- A skilled position within our clients dedicated dismantling team
- Starting pay rate of £13 per hour
- Over time after 40 hours paid at £19.50 per hour
- Weekly wages every Friday through Taskmaster
- Once you have completed 4 full weeks our client will offer a free tank of fuel each week as an incentive
- On the job training with the view of career progression and pay incentives based on success rate on temp to perm contract.
