A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced and knowledgeable quality technician to join our innovative client in Kirkcaldy.
This is a very rare opportunity as our client has one of the best staff retention records in the area!
Hours of work are exceptionally appealing 7.45am – 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am – 1.30pm Friday (overtime offered but 100% not compulsory)
Job duties, responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Complete internal non-conformance investigations with the Operations Team and implement improvements using quality tools such as 5 why, cause and effect analysis and 8D
- Input internal non-conformances into the Quality Management System (QMS) and action where required, set tasks etc.
- Raise concessions with customers and process the documentation within the QMS, where cover is required
- Complete complaint investigations to the satisfaction of the customer and record all information within the QMS
- Assist with maintaining the QMS in line with ISO9001 requirements
- Liaise with suppliers on quality issues and drive performance improvements
- Complete periodic quality control checks on the shop floor
- Ownership of calibration on all measuring equipment
- Carry out first and second party audits in line with ISO9001
- Raise quality alerts to highlight issues to the shop floor, PDCA’s , Toolbox Talks etc. • Generate Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions with Operations Teams
- Assist with third party audits
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A strong background in quality control or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of quality control methods, tools, and techniques.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using quality control software and equipment.
- Relevant certifications or training in quality assurance are a plus.
