A fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced Hygiene Operatives to join our esteemed client in Peebles, working towards a permanent role after 12 weeks successful probation.

Job Summary:

· To clean packing station and equipment in methods that consistently meets company, customer, legal requirements, specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain the cleanliness of the Packing Station in ways that meet the relevant standards including company, customer, health & safety, environmental and hygiene standards at all times.

· Work in a safe, hygienic manner which is conducive to good working practice.

· Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs).

· Wear appropriate personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are performing: High visibility waste coats and safety shoes worn at all times.

· Achieve the required output and quality of work within the defined time

· Complete hygiene cleaning tasks in a way that maximises time and specified standards.

· Ensure that no unnecessary waste is incurred and dispose of surplus consumables, waste, scrap and non-standard product appropriately

· Make equipment ready for future use after the completion of the process, cleaning plant, equipment and work areas using appropriate materials and equipment

· Maintain effective and positive communication with colleagues, team leaders and managers

· Clean equipment within the bounds of your responsibility and report defects to your manager which needs specialised maintenance.

· Report or inform to your team leader relevant information that is required to carry out your duties.

· Complete and maintain required records accurately

· Adopt and demonstrate clean as you go within your work

· Carry out other reasonable duties within the context of the company’s operational requirements.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

· Manual work requiring physical energy and capability

· Ability to reach, bend stoop and kneel

· Excellent attention to detail and cleaning to a high standard

· Ability to multi tasks and prioritise

· Ability to work as part of a team

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

· Ability to use own initiative and carry out duties in a timely manner

· Dependable
