Floor Manager - Located in Peterborough
Job Purpose: To ensure the safe running of the studio floor during all of my clients live and pre-recorded output. To prepare product, demonstrations and ensure that risk assessments are adhered to during live shows.

To: Senior Floor Manager
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
- Be accountable for studio activity in accordance with H.A.S.A.W.A.
- Risk awareness trained.
- Write and review relevant risk assessments for product and live shows.
- Run the studio floor and delegated live shows in conjunction with all relevant TV ops departments.
- Within daily production meetings liaise with all relevant TV staff regarding the various requirements for their shows.
- Liaise with Creative Development team regarding forward planning and demonstration preparation for live shows.
- Be responsible for all guests and model management within delegated live and pre-recorded hours.
- Ensure the safety of all studio staff and guests in accordance with H.A.S.A.W.A. within delegated live and pre-recorded hours on the studio floor.
- Enforce company studio etiquette guidelines.
- Be accountable for studio and backstage housekeeping where appropriate.
- Risk awareness with respects to product and prop as outlined by the business.
- To promote a professional, approachable and responsible work ethic within the studio teams.
- Provide studio floor technical assistance within allocated live hours - mic pack maintenance, cable bashing; basic lighting obligations.
- Prep and de-prep all products and demos required for live and pre-recorded shows.
- Prepare small technical items for use - set up laptops, organise feeds to wall boxes.
- Work closely with Sets and Props assistant to set up large prop and furniture for live shows.
- Provide health and safety training/briefings to all relevant TV staff in line with the SFM, Backstage Supervisor and business requirements.
- Risk awareness with respects to product and prop as outlined by the business.
- Dress sets and pack shots with support of the Set Design Team in line with Style Guides and Brand briefs.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
Health & Safety
Responsibility to ensure that they have studied all relevant health & safety information and are aware of, and working to appropriate company safe systems of work and procedures. The application of some safety procedures may vary slightly depending on the group of people involved or the environment they work in.
Person Specification
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility.
- Minimum of Degree level English, theatre studies, media techniques or equivalent work experience.
- A keen and creative mind is required for this role.
- Candidate must be prepared for a fast paced and ever changing creative challenge.
- Upbeat, positive and diplomatic.
Starting salary is £17,000.
Shift pattern is a 7 day fortnight - 5 days worked one week and two the next.
Shift: 12.30pm - 12.30am.
